In regards to the U.S. Senate race:
Gilmore Warner
Raised last period $480,000 $2,819,335
Raised to date $1,175,113 $9,136,868
Spent to date $1,058,343 $4,152,333
On hand June 30 $116,770 $5,102,604
And in regards to the 2009 gubernatorial race:
McDonnell Deeds Moran
Raised period $878,491 $782,585 $1,380,364
Raised to date $1,464,304 $901,072 $1,380,364
Spent $295,427 $250,620 $456,072
On Hand $1,168,876 $650,452 $923,292
While fundraising prowess is not always sufficient for victory, I’d say that it is near-necessary. What this says to me is that unsurprisingly, Gilmore has no chance, while after the primary, our gubernatorial candidates are going to give McDonnell a run for his money.

Hey, let’s postulate. Can we say that you can also take this out to the presidential race, giving Obama a clear edge in that part of the game?
I think so.
